November 2009 - Off Leash Area (Dog Park) Survey - View results here.

Austin is one of the country’s top 10 cities for dogs; due in part to our park system’s 12 off-leash areas (OLA).  When visiting our OLAs, please keep in mind that several of these off-leash areas are adjacent to water and are shared with other park goers.

Park safety and protecting our waterways is the number one priority for our OLAs. So that everyone may enjoy our parks, please Scoop the Poop and keep your dog under sight and sound control at all times.

The map above denotes the Town Lake Park OLA, occupying both the Auditorium Shores and Bottomland Woods areas of the park. When visiting Town Lake Park, please keep in mind these simple tips below, and remember our parks are a special place for everyone to enjoy.
